A standard galley or L-shaped kitchen typically lands between $19,000 and $28,000. Larger kitchens with an island, waterfall stone ends, integrated appliances or a full layout change generally run $30,000 to $48,000. Appliances themselves are quoted separately unless you ask us to supply them, because that is where budgets vary most.
No, but plan for two to three weeks without a working kitchen. We set up a temporary bench with your fridge and microwave somewhere sensible before the strip-out, seal the room off to keep dust out of the rest of the house, and sequence the work so the sink and cooktop go back in as early as the schedule allows. Most families cope fine; most also budget for more takeaway than usual.
About three to four weeks on site for a standard kitchen. The critical path is stone: your benchtop can only be templated once the cabinetry is installed and level, then it takes roughly ten working days to fabricate. We order cabinetry and long-lead items the moment you sign so that wait happens in parallel rather than at the end.
Yes, and it is the single biggest saving available. Keeping the sink, cooktop and appliances where they are avoids re-running plumbing, gas and power, and takes several thousand dollars out of the job. That said, we will be honest with you: if the layout is the reason you hate the kitchen, replacing the doors around a bad plan is money spent on a problem you will still have.
Cabinetry is polyurethane in white or a colour of your choice, or Polytec in a timber look, on moisture-resistant board with soft-close hinges and runners as standard. Benchtops are 20mm or 40mm engineered stone or natural stone. Splashbacks can be stone, tile or glass. All of it is made to your millimetres — nothing in a Five Star kitchen is a flat-pack carcass with a cut-down door on it.
Yes, and it is usually the smart move. The site set-up, the skip, the project management and much of the trade mobilisation is shared, so a combined booking comes in meaningfully below two separate jobs — typically 12 to 18 per cent. You also live through the disruption once instead of twice. Ask for a combined-room price when you enquire.
We install them. Ovens, cooktops, rangehoods, dishwashers and integrated fridges are all fitted and connected by our licensed electricians and plumbers as part of the job, whether you buy them or we supply them. Gas connections are done by a licensed gas fitter and certified.
Two to ten years depending on the element — cabinetry, benchtop, hardware and the trade work each carry their own cover, and we hand you the documentation at completion. Manufacturer warranties on appliances and stone pass through to you in your name. On eligible projects Home Building Compensation cover applies as well.
