The failure mode of a self-managed bathroom is almost never one bad tradesman. It is the handover between two of them: the waterproofer arrives before the substrate is right, the tiler starts before the membrane has cured, the plumber sets the waste 8mm off and the fall never quite works.
One licensed builder holding every trade removes those handovers as a category of risk. It also removes the part of a renovation nobody warns you about — the three months of chasing people who don’t answer the phone.

We are set up for complete rooms, and that is where we are genuinely better value — one contract, one price, nobody able to blame the previous trade. That said, we do take on standalone waterproofing and leak repair work, because those are the jobs where getting the right person matters most and homeowners are often stuck.
We are, and that is the whole point of a single licensed builder. On a self-managed renovation the tiler blames the waterproofer, the waterproofer blames the plumber, and you are the one holding it. With one contract there is one party responsible for the finished room and one warranty covering it.
Strata by-law applications, yes — we prepare them and the supporting documentation as part of the job. Standard bathroom, kitchen and laundry renovations inside an existing footprint generally do not need council approval in NSW. If your project involves structural change, moving external walls or an extension, that goes to the Five Star Homes Group side of the business, who lodge DAs and CDCs in-house.
Public Liability, Workers Compensation, and Home Building Compensation (HBCF) cover through iCare on eligible projects. We hold NSW Builder's Licence 338649C. Certificates are available on request and we provide them to strata committees as a matter of course.
